Looking for an IFMGA Guide?
There are three ways of finding a mountain guide:
- Usually there is a mountain guide agency, an alpine centre or a mountain guide office in your favourite region.
- Often the corresponding national association (look here for more information about the national associations) offers a list of active mountain guides.
- Additionally, many alpine schools offer mountain excursions in their region.
It is important that the mountain guide you have chosen attended the entire training according to the standards of the IFMGA. Look for the international mountain guide badge as proof of training. Additionally, every mountain guide possesses an IFMGA membership card.
